A live event was held at the Musashino Forest Sports Plaza in Tokyo, Japan. The special event, Spy x Family: Anime Extra Mission, held on 9th June 2024, also announced that the production for Spy x Family’s 3rd season was in the works. The event featured the cast members of Anya, Loid, Yor, and a few other characters, who all made an appearance.

The special event also unveiled the key visual for season 3. Yuni Yoshida, the art director of Spy x Family, designed the visual for the upcoming season, while Kazuki Shimada, the character designer & chief animation director, drew the visual. However, a release date for Spy x Family Season 3 is yet to be announced.

The two past seasons and the movie of the wholesome yet dysfunctional makeshift family have given fans some really heartwarming moments. Without a doubt, season 3 will deliver just as much laughter and action, all while Anya charms all the viewers. So, as we gear ourselves for the 3rd season, let’s take a look at some of the best moments from the past two seasons.

Moments where Spy x Family managed to make fans fall in love with the anime

An introduction to Bond: This tearjerker tugs at the heartstrings. After a tense encounter with a dog and a hard mission, Loid stumbles upon a white dog. Seeing Anya’s immediate connection with the dog, though hesitant at first, Loid adopts him, naming him Bond (because of secrets, obviously). Witnessing this act of kindness and the pure joy on Anya’s face as she gets a new family member is a guaranteed heartwarming moment.

Penguin Park Shenanigans: Episode 12 is pure chaotic fun, but it also highlights the growing bond between the family. When Anya struggles to make friends at school, Loid hatches a hilarious plan to take her to Penguin Park. Yor joins in the fun, and despite the plan’s failure, it shows their willingness to go above and beyond for Anya’s happiness. Seeing them goof around together as a family is a heartwarming reminder that even pretend families can create lasting memories.

Loid Carries His Girls Home: This moment is pure heartwarming chaos. After a series of hilarious mishaps on a cruise, Loid ends up carrying an exhausted Yor as well as Anya. Exhausted but determined, they head back to their cabin, a picture of a (slightly dysfunctional but wholesome) family unit. It highlights their unspoken trust and commitment to protecting each other, even in the midst of total confusion.
