There have been many amazing lines in One Piece, but the one that still gives us chills when we hear it is “Nothing Happened.” This line is so famous that even people who haven’t watched One Piece know it through memes.

Zoro has proven his loyalty to Luffy many times in the series, but during Thriller Bark, he showed that he would go to any lengths to save Luffy. The Nothing Happened scene is from One Piece episode 377, which is also the 7th best-rated One Piece episode on IMDb.

Zoro says this at Thriller Bark after absorbing all the pain that Luffy was going through after fighting Gecko Moria, with tons of shadows inserted inside him. Zoro stepped in to protect his crew from the Warload, Kuma, who offered him the choice. This moment shows Zoro’s strong loyalty to the Straw Hat crew.

“Luffy is sometimes very cool, but Zoro is ALWAYS cool,” Tanaka says. “Nakai is resolute and cool when he is acting in front of the microphone, but when he has finished acting, he becomes a friendly person.”

Nakai, “In the early days of the One Piece anime, I was often depressed after watching the anime broadcast because I was the only one who was not a good actor compared to the other amazing Straw Hat VAs.”

Luffy’s voice actor, Tanaka, even complimented Zoro’s character, by saying that Luffy is cool sometimes, but Zoro ‘is always cool.’ She even shared that Nakai is very serious and cool while working in the recording booth, but and friendly once the acting is done.

Nakai talked about feeling down in the early days of the One Piece anime because he thought he wasn’t as good at voice acting as the other talented voice actors for the Straw Hat crew. However, everything worked out in the end, as now Zoro’s voice is among the most loved ones in the One Piece anime.

It is no surprise that “Nothing Happened” would be Zoro’s voice actor’s favorite line. However, the other Luffy voice actor’s favorite line is quite surprising. Luffy’s voice actor, Takana’s favorite line is not one of Luffy’s, but is part of a conversation between Ace and Garp.

“Ace: I wonder if I shouldn’t have been born. Garp: You’ll find out as you live it.”

This line is from a flashback scene in the Marineford arc. Ace overhears bandits speaking negatively about Roger in a bar. This angers him, which leads to a fight with the bandits. Later, he talked with Garp about whether he deserved to live in this world. Garp replied that Ace would have to figure that out for himself.

You can watch One Piece on streaming platforms such as Netflix and Crunchyroll.
