4 minutes of brand-new Extended Cut added to the new Spider-Man: Far from Home
Sony Pictures’ highest grossing release of all time is adding a highly successful sequel back into theatres with some bonus footage for the long holiday weekend. Unlike the Extended Cut in Avengers: Endgame, two Spider-Man: Far from Home extended cut features its new footage in the movie itself rather than at the end.
4 minutes of a never before seen action sequence.
The extended cut teasers show “new scenes and action sequences,” and show off a few select moments in their short runtime. One scene teased is the one featuring Mr. Delmar (Hemky Madera) and Spider-Man’s “restaurant-set battle against a New York mob family.” The cut is said to have 4 minutes of action sequence.
Theatre manager confirms the re-release with the extended cut on reddit
Redditor Matedogcata claims to be the manager of a theater and that they’ve received an email that says the following: “On August 30th, for Labor Day Weekend, Sony Pictures Entertainment will be reissuing a Director’s Cut of Spider-Man: Far From Home into theaters across the country. This Director’s Cut will feature unseen footage added back into the film for an all new Spider-Man experience. There will be a major marketing campaign behind this new cut, so we are asking for everyone’s support in playing the picture in both regular and PLF screens.”
Blu-Ray editions are expected to hit market by October
It is said it will be available on the digital and Blu-ray editions when they go on sale. As for when the movie will hit the home market, it is believed the digital version will go on sale October 1st, though that has not been confirmed at this time.
