5 Actors We Want To See In The DCEU
The DC Extended Universe is now thriving towards including more and more characters in the franchise. With that said, fans are curious to know who else could join the DCEU’s expansion plan. While the franchise is planning to compete with Marvel’s heights, they really need some great characters to show up and some even great actors (may be from the Marvel Cinematic Universe) to play them.
With that said, these are the 5 actors we want to see in the DCEU –
Chris Hemsworth – Green Arrow
Green Arrow is perhaps one of the most prominent characters of the Justice League. In CW’s show Arrow, it is Stephen Amell who has been portraying Green Arrow all this long. However, it is Chris Hemsworth who could be the best choice to portray Green Arrow on the big screen. Hemsworth has that commanding personality that Green Arrow is known for while facing the arrogant villains. In fact, Oliver Queen is quite humorous and certainly, Hemsworth has shown his humor in all the Avengers films.
Kurt Russell – Commissioner Gordon
Commissioner Gordon has shown up in many ways. While fans liked his version played by Gary Oldman, people also appreciated the way Ben McKenzie played him. As of now, it is JK Simmons who is portraying Commissioner Gordon (last seen in Justice League). On the other hand, we all know why Kurt Russell could be a right fit for the role. He’s the one who played Starlord’s father in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and the personality and aura he maintained throughout the screenplay were quite immense and intriguing. Clearly, he’d be a perfect choice to play Commissioner Gordon in the DCEU.
Rachael Taylor – Killer Froast
Killer Froast made her DC comic debut in the late 1970s. However, it is Danielle Panabaker who is portraying her and Caitlin Snow in CW’s TV show The Flash. While she has been playing the character for quite some time now, it is now time for the franchise to give it a second thought, especially if they are planning to bring the character on the big screen. With that said, opting for Rachael Taylor will be a smart choice to play Killer Froast in the DCEU. She is, as of now, starring as Trish Walker in Netflix’s Jessica Jones.
Tom Holland – Kid Flash
He is innocent, he is clever, he is weird, but he is carefree – exactly what Kid Flash’s portrayal requires. Undoubtedly, Wally West has quite some features matching rightly with Holland’s Peter Parker. With that said, the two characters are almost similar to each other and it’d quite intriguing for the fans to see the same actor playing both of them (of course, if only Marvel and DC agree on that). While Holland is currently locked in as MCU’s Peter Parker, it’d quite a moment to see him playing Kid Flash in the DCEU as well.
Tom Hiddleston – The Riddler
Tom Hiddleston has made his fans laugh and smile ever since he appeared as Loki in Thor. The way he portrays the character, it looks like he is always ready to do something peaky and sneaky. On the other hand, DC’s Riddler has quite some similarities to Marvel’s Loki. He is not really a trickster but enjoys each one of them. That is perhaps where both characters (The Riddler and Loki) meet. They are mischievous and love playing with people around them. Some fans might have also noticed the similarities Hiddleston reflects as Frank Gorshin from the 1960s Batman series. While the actor is quite taken for playing Loki nowadays, DCEU should consider him whenever giving The Riddler a thought.
