The nail-biting race to win the Presidential Elections in America has taken the entire world, let alone the country, by storm. Everyone waited with bated breath to see who emerged victorious after the electoral battle.

The two candidates – Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris, were no strangers to the voting process and the entire hoopla around the same.

Finally, the results have been announced with Trump emerging victorious. He will be the President of the United States of America for a second term after 2017. Harris posed a tough competition and fought fiercely with many celebrities supporting her.

In the midst of this excitement, here’s a look at the celebrities who may not be happy with Trump assuming the topmost position in the White House.

Jennifer Lawrence

If any actress has been openly vocal about women’s rights and supported numerous causes to the best of her abilities, it’s Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence.

She has backed up Kamala Harris since the race began and has condemned Donald Trump on more than one occasion. Trump’s win will certainly not spark any tears of joy in Lawrence. She said,

If Donald Trump becomes president, that will be the end of the world.

The actress has unequivocally claimed that the world will come to an end if Trump becomes the President of the country. She said so before the 2017 elections, but her feelings continue to be as strong as they were in the past. Her co-star at the time, Liam Hemsworth, shared in this feeling as well.

George Clooney

The Ocean’s franchise star George Clooney is another actor who dislikes Trump’s guts. He has gone as far as calling him a fascist and an opportunist. Clooney has spoken against Trump in more than one instance, putting forth incredibly strong opinions.

This even led to Trump firing off one of his rants and pointing at Clooney in the process, asking him to go back to television. Clooney replied calmly and claimed he’d love to do a trade-off if Trump leaves politics too, saying “I will if he does. That’s a trade-off I’d do.”

Meryl Streep

One of the greatest actresses of this generation, Meryl Streep is not afraid to call Trump a bully. Taking the stage while accepting the award at the Golden Globes in 2017, she gave a powerful speech that related to the country’s position at the time since Trump had just assumed Presidential office back then. She said,

Disrespect invites disrespect. Violence invites violence. When the powerful use their position to bully others, we all lose.

These impactful lines resonated with the masses as they lauded her stance. Streep has been an activist for women’s rights not just in America but across the globe. Her work in the political and social space has garnered widespread appreciation by the industry.

Elizabeth Banks

Another actress who is fiercely against Trump is Elizabeth Banks. Her disapproval of the Republican candidate has been palpable.

She even appeared at the Democratic Convention to voice her support for Hillary Clinton who stood against Trump. Banks claimed,

Some of you know me from ‘The Hunger Games,’ in which I play Effie Trinket ― a cruel, out-of-touch reality TV star who wears insane wigs while delivering long-winded speeches to a violent dystopia. So when I tuned in to [the Republican National Convention in] Cleveland last week, I was like, ‘Uh, hey ― that’s my act!’

Banks is firmly against Trump and everything he stands for. The actress has fearlessly expressed her dissent on various occasions and will certainly be unhappy with Trump’s reelection to the White House.

Stephen King

If one line could define Trump, Stephen King’s statement on X a couple of years ago would do a great job. “Congrats, Republicans! You’re about to nominate a thin-skinned racist with the temperament of a 3-year-old.” King got over 400 writers to sign off on a petition that detailed why Trump was a bad Presidential candidate.

From his habit of demeaning and yelling at opponents in debates to his violent aggression in policies as well as his insulting treatment of women, all contribute to the reasons why so many celebrities collectively despise the man.

The author does not like Trump at all and neither do other authors like J.K. Rowling and Dave Eggers.
