Whether it’s Sheldon’s remarkable brain, how Leonard puts up with such a unique fellow or how a glamour girl finds her way into the geek group, TBBT always gets more interesting with every rewatch. On that note, here are 5 things about The Big Bang Theory that keep getting better with time. Let’s take a look.
If you hear the sound, ‘Sooooft kitty waaaarm kitty little ball of furrrr’ after reading the heading, it proves that you’re a true The Big Bang Theory fan. Moreover, if you know this song by heart, you’re a regular and loyal rewatcher as well. No matter how many times we hear it from Penny’s mouth or that of Mary Cooper, the song never gets old! Plus, the fact that this song helped build a special bond between Sheldon and Penny is priceless!
Beverly, Leonard’s mom is another unique and quirky character besides Sheldon Cooper in The Big Bang Theory. No matter how much some viewers despise her for being a terribly insensitive mom to Leonard, her antics are much appreciated. The seriousness with which she normalizes the highly abnormal and unique traits is humorous. Most rewatchers make sure to watch the episodes featuring her a hundred times! At least I’m guilty of that for sure.
Sheldon Hugs Penny
Every time Sheldon gives Penny those rare ‘Sheldon Cooper hugs, the audience’s hearts melt. Every time we watch the brilliant scientist take a step forward to building his social skills by hugging Penny, it feels heartwarming. It’s also an indication of how deep of an impact Penny has on him. Considering how he has never been comfortable with even normal human interaction, him hugging Penny is a big milestone!
Sheldon’s Proposal to Amy and Their Wedding Vows
If it’s not clear by now, almost all the evergreen moments of the show usually revolve around or beloved Dr. Cooper. Just like this one! Sheldon proposing Amy was one of the biggest shocks in the history of TV shows. Another woman kissing Sheldon made him realize that Amy was the only woman he ever wanted to kiss for the rest of his life. In previous seasons, we knew that Sheldon had already bought an engagement ring for Amy. When he finally made it real, fans started rooting for their wedding day. Their vows were a whole new level of an emotional roller coaster.
Sheldon’s Nobel Prize Speech
Yes, again, one more moment of The Big Bang Theory that keeps on getting better with time is Sheldon’s speech when he and Amy received the Nobel prize. Saying that it brought tears into the eyes of diehards would be an understatement. Sheldon’s speech is one of the most exciting parts of the show that made the ending as satisfying as it was.
Before beginning, he himself admitted that he wrote a self-centered speech. But after witnessing how his friends cheered him on in the audience totally moved him. He gave them a shoutout and called them family. In fact, his highly emotional speech was the perfect ending to his imperfect quirks throughout the course of TBBT.
