As we keep praising and loving our favorite superheroes, it is way more probable for many of us to relate to MCU sidekicks than the Avengers. We could be Iron Man, Captain Marvel, or Spider-Man in our heads but it is really their sidekicks that are close to our ground reality level. Thus, it is realistic for us to be the “humanely help”  rather than a superhero shooting aliens while flying.

Some Marvel sidekicks deserve more praise than they actually get when you think about it. New Asgard would be extinct if Heimdall hadn’t got into action and hid as many Asgardians as he could in Thor: Ragnarok. Killmonger would still be ruling the fate of Wakanda if it wasn’t for Nakia who took the heart-shaped herb for T’Challa in Black Panther. Sam Wilson is mostly up for whatever Steve Rogers is into, even though it makes him a fugitive. Let’s read through the sidekick characters of the MCU who deserved much more praise & love than they got.

1. Luis (Ant-Man)

He’s an extremely amusing bundle of energy, trying to get his miserable life back on track after a mishap in jail, and each time he gets an opportunity to share a story about his buddy Scott, it leads to some of the breathtaking and funniest scenes in the MCU.

2.  Heimdall (Thor Saga)

Heimdall from Thor: Ragnarok

As Sif and the Warriors Three are usually Thor’s quick backup in the comics, it is Heimdall who deserves praise for clearing Thor’s mess in the MCU.

He was the necessary element for traveling to and from Earth in the Thor movies, and when Asgard was taken by Hela in Thor: Ragnarok, it was Heimdall who laid his life on the line to save and hide Asgardians against the merciless might of Hela. He got an unceremonious end in Avengers: Infinity War, but Heimdall deserves to be remembered as significant to the making of the New Asgard of Earth reality.

3. Happy Hogan (MCU)

Along with Nick Fury, Jon Favreau’s Happy Hogan is the longest continuing member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, both of them appearing in both 2008’s Iron Man and 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home. And as Nick Fury is the more famous character, Happy should be getting just as much praise from fans as that of the head of S.H.I.E.L.D.

4. Wong (Doctor Strange)

Doctor Strange may be an expert of the mystic arts, but you can’t desist every lethal threat to the Earth all by yourself. And that’s where Wong comes in.

Wong helped Strange transport, many heroes, to the battlegrounds at the ending of Avengers: Endgame. And Wong will always be seen standing by Strange’s side as whatever evil or bad things occur in the upcoming Multiverse of Madness.

5. Shuri (Black Panther)

Playing the role of the “woman in the chair”, Shuri proved to be a huge lifesaving asset to her brother in Black Panther. Along with providing T’Challa with intel from Wakanda in the mission, she also plays his “Q” of sorts, outfitting him with cutting-edge technology for his purposes. With such knowledge and skill, she might end up becoming a hero herself.
