Redemption is a sign of wanting to change and be better, and Marvel villains are no stranger to the same. Many have redeemed themselves and become superheroes loved by many fans.

These villains have stayed the same way and stayed true to their good side that the fans have forgotten that these superheroes once used to be villains.

1. The Punisher

The Punisher

Punisher has made his image as an anti-hero for a long time now but some might not remember that he actually had begun his Marvel journey as a villain in the Spider-Man comics. He wanted to take revenge on Spider-Man since he thought Norman Osbourne.

The Punisher has some different qualities compared to most of the Marvel heroes, he doesn’t hesitate if he has to kill or torture a bad guy, and he just doesn’t ever feel bad about whatever he has done.

2. Rouge

Marvel
Rouge

Rouge is now an important member of X-Men and there is no denying in the same, but most of us do not remember that she had initially appeared as an Avengers Villain. She was working with Mystique and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. One of her most iconic fights was against Captain Marvel.

She has also gone against many other Marvel heroes. However, after her fight with Carol Danvers, she left the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants to join X-Men and stayed there forever.

3. Quicksilver

Just like his sister Scarlet Witch aka Wanda Maximoff, Pietro Maximoff or better known as Quicksilver made his initial appearance as rudimentary under Magneto in the X-Men. But he soon walked on the same path as his sister and left the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants.

He did join Avengers for some time, but he isn’t as prominent a member as his sister. He soon fell in love with Crystal (Inhuman Royal Family). He has been a part of several Avenger teams for years but he didn’t fall to any of his “biological father’s” aka Magneto’s tricks.

4.  Emma Frost

Emma Frost started off as a supervillain; the White Queen of the Hellfire Club. She had gone against X-Men twice before he ended up recruiting a team of mutants to form Hellions.  She later became a permanent member of the X-Men team.

5. Songbird

Marvel
Songbird

Melissa Gold was once known as “Screaming Mimi” and was a small villain.  She was a member of “Masters of Evil”, and then Baron Zemo went on to disguise the group as “Thunderbolts“.

Melissa then took the name “Songbird” and was inspired to become a hero while acting as a superhero. That changed her heart and she became good for real and also became an Avenger.

6. Deadpool

Marvel
Deadpool

Most of us know Deadpool as the adorable (at times) and hilarious anti hero, but before that, his first appearance in the comics, The New Mutants #98, he was hired as an assassin to attack the team of teen superheroes.

But then when Joe Kelly decided to take over the character and initiated the solo series, Deadpool developed his personality, which has now been a hit thanks to the splendid portrayal of the anti-hero by Ryan Reynolds on the silver screen. And honestly, we all are huge fans of Deadpool’s savageness!

7. Hawkeye

Hawkeye

For many MCU fans who have watched the MCU Hawkeye, it would be a shocking reveal that Hawkeye actually made a debut as a villain in the Marvel Comics “Tales of Suspense #57”. He was back then inspired by Iron Man to become a vigilante, but however, Black Widow manipulated him to go against Iron Man. After which he decided to set things straight and try to become the hero he dreamed of. He offered his help to the Avengers and then went on to become one of them. And finally, Marvel Studios has come out with his series (on Disney+)
