What Is the Best Watch Order for Dandadan?
The best way to watch Dandadan is also the only way: release order. Start with Season 1, which aired in Fall 2024, and move straight into Season 2, which aired in Summer 2025. There is no alternate order to worry about here since the story is told in a straight line with minimal flashbacks (only when necessary) or spinoffs messing things up.

Season 1 opens with the Turbo Granny Arc, where Momo Ayase and Okarun make a bet about whether ghosts or aliens are real. They are totally opposite, but actually end up bonding through their shared experience of being abducted by aliens and having a very important male organ stolen by a supernatural entity called Turbo Granny.
From there, we get introduced to a new character called Aira, and then we head straight to the Acrobatic Silky Arc. If you haven’t reached this point in the story yet, make sure your tissues are ready, as this is probably one of the saddest arcs in anime of all time.
The season then moves into the Serpo Arc, which forces Momo, Okarun, and Aira to actually work as a team against the Serpo for the first time. Season 1 closes out by kicking off the Cursed House Arc, introducing Jiji and setting up the trip to his family’s home, right as the mystery around it starts to unfold.
Season 2 (2025)
Season 2 picks up mid-story, finishing out the Cursed House Arc as Momo, Okarun, and Jiji dig into the secrets behind his family home and run into the unsettling Kito family who guard it. From there, the season moves into the Evil Eye Arc, which ramps up the horror and stakes by a lot as a new supernatural threat tied to the house makes itself known.
The season then closes with the Kaiju Arc, bringing in a new mysterious alien girl, and ending in a massive, mecha-versus-monster fight that gives the season an action-heavy finish. Season 2 also had a theatrical release beforehand called Dandadan: Evil Eye, which combined the Season 1 finale with the first few episodes of Season 2, but you won’t need to watch it as the anime episodes cover everything.
Is There Any Filler in Dandadan?
Good news for anyone who hates padding: there is none. Dandadan has zero filler episodes across both seasons. Every single episode adapts material straight from the manga, meaning nothing is skippable and nothing was made up just to buy time before new chapters are released.
