Based on the popular anime that has been the talk of 2023, you’d think any games related to Jujutsu Kaisen would be an immediate hit. However, that’s not what happened with Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash. Usually, the majority of movie tie-in games used to be cookie-cutter first-person shooters or unimaginative third-person action adventure games. But today’s fixation seems to be on arena fighting games.

Unfortunately, this brings us to Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash, which isn’t just a derivative of other arena fighters, but the epitome of every pitfall the genre constantly falls into. The game disappoints with its lack of content and subpar combat mechanics, failing to capture the essence of the anime despite its appealing character roster. And so, while some die-hard fans may eke some enjoyment out of it, other fans don’t really recommend it at all.

Jujutsu Kaisen Voice Actors To Announce a New Game

Yuichi Nakamura, Gojo Satoru’s voice actor, and Takahiro Sakurai, Geto Suguru’s voice actor, are set to appear on a special program on May 19th, to announce the latest news of Jujutsu Kaisen games and have a look back into Jujutsu Kaisen anime so far. According to X user, @Go_Jover, Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash ‘Hidden Inventory‘ DLC information is most likely to be released next week.

XBOX’s official description for Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash ‘Hidden Inventory’ reads as follows:

“Includes playable characters, character costumes, and additional scenarios for use in Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash.“

While fans are excited to get more of Satoru and Suguru’s interactions through the video game, most fans are hesitating following the blunder of the previous Jujutsu Kaisen game. Fans were quick to take to X following this announcement to express their disappointment with the game, Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash, given that the game failed miserably within a week of being released.

Although fans are delighted to see Takahiro Sakurai’s appear after his scandal, some fans are not looking forward to this new game and are surprised that the company is still making content for this game. Only time will tell whether this game will be better than its predecessor or not. Meanwhile, all fans can do is wait.

Jujutsu Kaisen’s Voice Actor Exits Agency After a Scandal

Jujutsu Kaisen‘s voice actor for Suguru Geto landed in trouble and has been in hot water for much of 2023. The veteran actor’s reputation took a nosedive back in 2023 due to an affair scandal that led Sakurai to exit his talent agency, INTENTION. All of this happened while Jujutsu Kaisen was gearing up for a new season.

The voice actor who plays Suguru Geto in Jujutsu Kaisen confirmed that he was leaving his talent agency in a letter to his fans. The company, INTENTION, a popular talent agency for voice actors in Japan, represented Sakurai for more than eight years, but the actor said that he is leaving on his own accord to prevent his scandal from harming the agency.

Sakurai wrote in his note:

“I thought that leaving the office was one of the ways I could take responsibility and that expressing my thoughts and actions by building the future was my own way of drawing a line through my past. From now on, while facing my work with sincerity, I will reconsider myself once again, and walk to repay the kindness I have received from all of you so that I can restore the trust that I have lost.“

Geto’s voice actor ran into trouble in October 2022 when a newspaper in Japan reported on his affair. The report revealed that Sakurai had been involved in an extramarital affair for 10 years with a writer on his radio show. The writer involved with Sakurai believed that the pair would get married soon. However, Sakurai was already married to a voice actress since the early 2000s.
