An Aquaman sequel is already underway. As reported, Wan will return to direct, but won’t make a clear deal until he’s seeing a “strong” script.

Aquaman stars Momoa as Arthur Curry, the half-human prince of the underwater world of Atlantis. Wan helms film after Momoa’s debut as Aquaman in Justice League. The story was written by Geoff Johns, James Wan and Beall, with David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and Will Beall writing the screenplay. Aquaman also stars Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Willem Dafoe, Nicole Kidman and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

Aquaman is now running successfully in theaters.
