In a video on Rumble, Trump Jr. mentioned the brewery’s “conservative credentials” and defended the marketing employee responsible for the partnership, he stated.

“Blame the whole company for the inaction or the stupidity of someone in a marketing campaign that got woke as hell.”

He pointed out that Bud Light’s parent company, Anheuser-Busch, mainly donates to Republicans and focused on taxes and trade in their lobbying efforts.

Junior claimed that conservative boycotts often shoot first and aim second and praised the beer company’s corporate approach.

The 45-year-old also acknowledged that his fellow conservatives sometimes act hastily without considering all the facts, noting that a low-level marketing employee was responsible for the partnership with Mulvaney and not senior executives, he explained.

“Last cycle, their employees and their PAC gave about 60 percent to Republicans and 40 percent to Democrats. That’s almost unheard of in corporate America, where it’s really easy to go woke, where they do so constantly, and where there’s a consequence to actually being a conservative. So 60 / 40 to the conservative side is kind of a big deal.”

Additionally, Trump Jr. praised the company’s focus on issues that impact their business, such as taxes and trade, rather than getting caught up in social and political issues.

Kelly and her guest, Michael Knowles played a clip from the podcast Triggered Jr. in which he defended the company and criticized the woke marketing campaign that led to the boycott. He said,

“So here’s the deal, Anheuser-Busch, totally shit the bed with this Dylan Mulvaney thing. I’m not, though, for destroying an American and iconic company for something like this. But like when I look into it, I’m not gonna blame the whole company for the inaction or the stupidity of someone in a marketing campaign that got woke as hell.”

However, Kelly corrected Trump Jr. by noting that Anheuser-Busch is owned by a Belgian company and insisted that the CEO is responsible for everything that happens on his watch. She began,

“Number one, as I point out, this is not an American company. It is not an American company,” Kelly continued.

“Number two, ‘I’m not gonna blame the entire company for the actions of one woke employee.’ No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. The CEO runs the company. The CEO is responsible for everything that happens on his watch. And if the CEO were upset about what the marketing department did here, there is zero evidence of that.

Further, the talk show host added,

“Someone needs to get fired. At a minimum, if you’re not gonna issue the apologetic groveling email to your fan base, at least fire somebody.”

After Kelly, Knowles also mentioned, “I don’t know if Don is trying to play a little good cop to the rest of our bad cop here. And try to keep those Republican donations from Bud Light coming on in, especially obviously as his father is running for president again.”

Kelly argued that Junior should have put his foot down on this one and that the company should stand with its base.
