Every hero needs a partner. Actually, it’s more like every hero needs at least one partner! In the world of Marvel Comics, there have been just as many amazing partners and sidekicks as there are heroes themselves. That is to say, there are a lot of great heroes that have had the support of their best friend or another superhero when it comes to taking down villains or fighting crime. We’ve decided to go over some of our favorites right now, ranked as per Reddit users –
Karun
Karun is a major standout character in the Eternals movie and deserves a spot on this list of ten Marvel Cinematic Universe’s supporting characters. He stands out because he is loyal to Kingo and never falters in his dedication to him. And although he does not have any powers or combat skills, he sticks by Kingo every step of the way when tasks get difficult and provides confidence when Kingo wavers. He pushes Kingo to join the Eternals at the beginning of the movie and then supports his decision to leave before their final attack. This guy is such a nice firecracker!
Katy Chen
Though Katy Chen does not have any superpowers, she is still a valuable asset to Shang-Chi in his battle against the villainous Mr. Python. This young lady has become an important friend and companion for Shang-Chi as they continue to save the world from evil forces together. By the end of the movie, Katy’s skill with her bow and arrow results in becoming an official agent for MI6 alongside Shang-Chi by request of organization leader Colleen Wing. We know this will be a great partnership to see in action on screen.
Sam Wilson
Sam Wilson is the first person Steve Rogers meets after he wakes up from being in suspended animation for years and helps him get his act together to track down Bucky, who has been reported as a fugitive. They build a strong bond of friendship and trust that later helps Steve put his faith behind Sam when it comes time to deliver the iconic line, “On your left” to him, knowing that he’ll recognize it due to their long-standing relationship.
Vision
Vision is the epitome of a perfect leader: he is strong and loyal. Even though Wanda has family in the real world, Vision can step in to give her that ‘ideal’ family back without actually taking them away from their loved ones. It’s like bringing happiness back where it once was lost – or rather creating new happiness for a loved one who never really experienced it because said loved one never had parents, to begin with.
Wong
Wong is at the top of this list because he has an unlimited knowledge of the mystic arts and the strength to fight against beings who are more powerful than you can ever imagine. Even before Wong was in this position, he was a valuable asset to Doctor Strange as he was learning how to control his powers and harness them for use against evil forces. One of his most notable skills is opening portals, as shown when we see him free the Avengers from captivity by Thanos in Avengers: Endgame.
