Kim Kardashian is a brand in herself. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has a knack for always being a part of the discussion, even if she doesn’t want to be. Her following is literally out-of-the-world. But there was a time when she wasn’t the social media bulwark that she is today. She was trying to make a name for herself in the industry. And it was at that time that she sought a certain celebrity’s friendship more than anything else. But fate had other plans.
Kim Kardashian wanted to be BFFs with Beyonce
Kim Kardashian started dating Kanye West in 2012. When the relationship came to the public’s knowledge everyone was looking forward to one thing – the dynamic between Kim Kardashian and Beyonce. Jay Z and Kanye West were the closest of friends. The two could be dubbed brothers.
So it was not at all shocking to expect Beyonce and Kim K to get along well. But that was never truly the case. According to an insider for Page Six, “Beyonce has never genuinely liked Kim. She’s mostly tolerated her. Because of their husbands’ friendship and their Mutual friends. Like Jennifer Lopez. She’s always a little icy to Kim.”
Beyonce refused to attend Kim Kardashian’s wedding because of a “family emergency”
Beyonce had made it clear on more than one occasion that she is not interested in being friends with Kim Kardashian. There was a coldness between the two always. A source for Page Six said, “The last time they hung out, the minute Beyonce could leave the conversation, she did. They always have lots of awkward pauses when they speak.”
But Beyonce took it to another extreme in 2014. When Kim K and West decided to tie the knot in 2014, she specially invited Jay Z and Beyonce to the wedding. But the two couldn’t attend the wedding. The reason? A *quote* family emergency *unquote*.
But the emergency didn’t stop her from posting a photo on the day of the wedding. Beyonce would have been hoping that the message was received.

Kim Kardashian even tried to buy Beyonce
Kim Kardashian still didn’t stop in her pursuit of Beyonce. Seeing that nothing else was working, she decided to switch tactics. The reality star began to make use of her deep pockets to “buy” Beyonce’s friendship.
When she started her own company, she sent fashion merchandise worth $10,000 to Beyonce. But Beyonce was not bothered by such things. When Kim sent her contour sticks within gold boxes, whose market value was $150,000. But all of these to no avail.
Kim made the ultimate effort, by sending clothes worth $10,000 to Beyonce when she was graced with twins. But Beyonce handed the clothes out to the hospital staff. That was the last nail in the coffin.
