DC and Marvel are both well-known for their titans, namely Superman and Batman. But DC has a powerful thunder titan in the form of Black Adam, who controls lightning as Thor does. Both have worn their respective titles for over 1,000 years. In that time they’ve built up some impressive skills on how to protect themselves and others. They know each other well but if they came head-to-head who do you think would win?

Black Adam (Teth-Adam)

One of the most powerful beings in the DCEU is Black Adam. Apparently, a common misconception people have about Black Adam is that he was originally named Teth Adam and he speaks in an Egyptian accent. As it turns out, his name was always Black Adam, but due to poor translations into other languages, it got lost in translation for us non-superhero experts.

He’s been known to be one of the strongest members of society-at-large, sometimes even serving on teams with Superman and Batman himself. Teth Adam is a man of Kahndaq, a fictional Middle Eastern country and also similar to Ancient Egypt, who faced a great tragedy that ultimately corrupted him into his cold-blooded persona. Black Adam shares the same paranormal powers but with far more ruthlessness.

Thor: The God Of Thunder

With that being said, Thor is one of the most powerful Avengers in the Marvel Universe. He obtained his formidable powers from his father Odin, ruler of Asgard. While Thor has some similarities with the version depicted on screen, he and his MCU counterpart have different origins. For example, in Marvel Comics, Thanos is responsible for the death of Thor’s father whereas Loki was merely to blame for Odin’s sacrifice in the MCU.

In Marvel Comics, Mjolnir was not forged by Odin until after they had established Asgard on Earth while in the MCU it was created at the very beginning when they arrived on Earth thousands of years ago. More differences include that being a superhero is just one of Thor’s jobs as opposed to being an Avenger. In addition, instead of having complete control over Mjolnir, he simply needs to be worthy enough to wield the instrument and borrow its power – but once he does this Mjolnir eliminates most other weapons before they can even touch it.

Thor VS. Black Adam

In a fight between Thor and Black Adam, it might be difficult for us to predict who will win. Both of them possess enormous magical power. It seems that Thor has more experience and can defeat characters like Captain Marvel, the hero he has met in this 1996 DC vs. Marvel crossover comic. Using his trusty hammer, Thor was able to redirect Billy’s lightning flashes back into him when they happen to change him into Shazam – something that cannot happen with Black Adam because of the different magic they possess. However, it is possible that if Thor manages to divert Captain Marvel’s lightning, then he could at least temporarily neutralize Adam’s powers and beat him down.
