Blake Lively Needs to Use Anne Hathaway’s Genius Move Towards an Interviewer After Being Rude To Save Her Crashing Career
- Despite other actors embracing the idea, Anne Hathaway chose to say no when an interviewer wanted to try something different.
- The actress realized that she had mistreated the journalist and sent her an apology email.
- After the awful press tour for It Ends With Us, Blake Lively should perhaps do the same.
Anne Hathaway needs no introduction. The actress has been in the industry for two decades with numerous diverse movies and series to her name. Fans have been in an ecstatic frenzy ever since she announced that she will be back with a threequel to the highly successful The Princess Diaries 3.
Hathaway is known for her kindhearted attitude as well as phenomenal skill on screen. From motherly roles to crazy bridal portrayals, the actress handles everything with utter grace. The same translates off-screen as Hathaway remains calm and composed throughout.
Anne Hathaway Apologized to a Journalist
Back in 2012 when one of Anne Hathaway’s biggest movies was released, she went around the country to tour and promote the movie. Considering the huge star cast of the movie Les Miserables, there were many actors including Hugh Jackman and Eddie Redmayne who were interviewed.
When one specific journalist named Kjersti Flaa interviewed the cast, she wanted the actors to answer in song since the movie is a musical. While the other actors collaborated and sang their way through the questions and answers, Anne Hathaway dismissed the idea and chose to have a regular conversation. The video sparked an outcry as it divided the internet. Some supported Flaa for letting the issue go while some posited that Hathaway might be in a bad mood that day.
Flaa posted about her experience in the interview as well, citing how awful it was for her. Apparently, the actress’s team saw the video and chose to take action. Recently, Hathaway wrote an email to Flaa explaining what went wrong that day. The journalist posted a video about the same and said,
She did something pretty amazing she sent me a long email explaining to me what she was going through right then when she did this interview and she apologized for giving me an awful interview. It was so touching to me um just talking about it makes me almost te eyed because I was just so grateful that she did that and um it was a very personal note and we decided that I wouldn’t share exactly what was in the email but I just wanted to share with you guys um what she did cuz I thought that was just so amazing.
Such small gestures go a long way in cultivating a close relationship with the journalists who have been in the field for so long. Many more actors need to learn from this splendid move to perhaps even save their careers from entirely going down the drain.
Blake Lively needs to learn from Anne Hathaway
On the recent press tour for It Ends With Us, a whole new dimension of Blake Lively came to the forefront. She appeared rather tone-deaf and indifferent towards the sensitive themes of the movie which many fans found unnerving. She dismissed questions, berated journalists, and refused to answer questions directly.
Lively should certainly take a page out of Hathaway’s playbook and maybe apologize to some interviewers she insulted. Ever since this outcry happened, many more journalists have spoken up against actors who treat them badly.
More than the fans and the news sites in general, it is the journalists who impact a celebrity’s reputation the most. The way the actors and actresses behave with the interviewers and how they interact with them matters more than what most people think.
