Blue Lock chapter 294 recap

Isagi and Kaiser from Blue Lock | Credits: Kodansha

This chapter starts with the obvious goal of Isagi solidifying the position of Bastard München as the best team in the Neo-Egoist League. Everyone from the team rushes toward Isagi with praise as he is the one to score two goals, including the last winning goal.

However, one person handles this win way worse than the losing team. Michael Kaiser, as a part of Bastard München, won the match but lost the bigger battle against Isagi. He understands that he was totally devoured by a player he had looked down upon previously.

Kaiser also analyses how he completely froze when the ball went to Ness because he did not think Ness had it in him to play at a higher level. However, that was not the case with Isagi, who believed in Ness and understood his mind.

Kaiser also agrees that he lost because it was fun to play alongside Isagi. The despair on his face was evident as he realized he derived excitement at the expense of his growth as a player.

Hilariously, at first, it seemed that Isagi would reach out to him as a gesture of friendship, where they would look past their animosity and move on. But that would not make Blue Lock the manga of the egoists.

Isagi quickly shows Kaiser his place and proves he is not the weak-willed high school boy anymore who used to depend on others to win.

Nagi from Blue Lock Season 2 | Credits: 8bit

This chapter has sparked a new storm of debates because of the exciting name and the match it will show. The chapter is named ‘Number 1’, and we will see a game between Manshine City and FC Barcha.

The name is there because it will show the Neo Egoist League: Round 5 ranking, where either Isagi or Rin will top the chart. But because it will also be about Nagi Seishiro, the player with the greatest potential, can he be at the top? This seems unlikely, but he could go through such a development that he scores three goals alone.
