Brad Pitt is one of the most handsome men on Earth, and his forthcoming film will see him as an F1 racer, so every fan is waiting to see him that way. However, the actor has taken a bold move by calling off the filming for some time.
Directed by the one behind the direction of Tom Cruises’ Top Gun: Maverick, Apex (the rumored name) will star Brad Pitt in the titular role. The SAG-AFTRA strike became the reason behind Brad Pitt’s boldest decision
Produced by Lewis Hamilton, the filming of the Formula One movie starring Brad Pitt has been put on hold. All thanks to Brad Pitt himself, who is responsible for the shoot halt. Well, it’s evident to say that it is the toughest decision he has taken to date, as it will affect the production house in many ways, especially financially.
For this F1 movie, the F2 cars for Brad Pitt and his co-star Danson Idris were modified in such a way that they look like F1 cars on screens. Furthermore, the film also received its own pit lane garage situated in Silverstone. Hence, it’s pretty obvious Pitt has put the entire production crew in a tough situation.
Well, now let’s talk about why the actor has made such a decision. He has been a member of SAG-AFTRA, and the union strike has restricted several films from getting promoted officially, and several films had to stop rolling cameras. Brad Pitt did not want to take advantage of being a member of the union, and that’s why he stopped the shoot of his F1 flick.
Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski was gearing up to shoot a Formula One-themed racing drama starring Brad Pitt. But “all filming is shut down for now,” according to a source close to the production. “Brad had really enjoyed himself,” the source told NBC News, “but he is definitely a very loyal member of the union.”
Is there a Release date for Brad Pitt’s F1 movie?
No release date for Brad Pitt’s upcoming untitled F1 movie has been announced yet. Well, now as the filming has been stopped for two months, we can expect to get the Apple TV Film on our screens in late 2023 or the beginning of 2024.
Besides that, as the film sees the involvement of the British F1 racer Lewis Hamilton, we are pretty sure it will be coming with everything that a film based on F1 racing should have. Moreover, Brad Pitt’s movie will see Joseph Kosinski, the brains behind a film like Top Gun: Maverick and that’s one of the reasons every cinephile is eagerly looking forward to it.
