The Venice Film Festival is always a magnet for celebrity fanfare, and this year, it’s pulling in more than just glitter and glam. Brad Pitt, the Hollywood heartthrob known for his dashing good looks and, occasionally, his off-screen escapades, has managed to turn heads once again.

This time, it’s not with a new blockbuster but with a dazzling debut alongside his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon. The red carpet saw a more relaxed, carefree Pitt, a stark contrast to the tension-filled years following his split from Angelina Jolie.

Pitt, who used to be half of Hollywood’s ultimate power duo with Angie, now looks like he’s stepped out of a high school reunion with a new ‘boyish charm’ that’s making everyone sit up and take notice. And all this while still entangled in legal drama with Jolie. Intrigued? Let’s dig into why this red carpet moment is more than just a snap-and-go affair.

Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon made their red carpet debut at the 81st Venice Film Festival, and it was nothing short of a fashion spectacle. The Hollywood star, who’s been seen in the glare of family feuds and high-profile breakups lately, looked rejuvenated.

The body language expert Judi James pointed out that Pitt was “tension-free” for the first time in ages. Gone were the days of stiff poses and high-stakes drama; here was a man clearly enjoying himself. The expert told Newsweek

Pre-loved but not looking so pre-judged-looking here, he seems relaxed to be calling the shots himself with his more boyish appeal given free rein again. Even his face looks impossibly boyish again.

With de Ramon by his side, the Ad Astra actor seemed like he was actually enjoying himself instead of just posing for the cameras. The couple also mingled with George Clooney and his wife Amal Clooney, celebrating the premiere of the Ocean’s Eleven stars’ new film, Wolfs.

Pitt’s relaxed demeanor and playful interactions with Clooney hinted at a much-needed break from his tumultuous past. James noted that Pitt’s “boyish appeal” was on full display, with his beaming smiles and casual poses—hands in pockets and all—showing off a carefree vibe that was hard to miss.

But it wasn’t all about Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon—George and Amal Clooney brought their own sparkle to the night. Of course, comparisons were bound to happen. Judi James pointed out that both Pitt and Clooney were showing off their relaxed, easygoing styles. With arms around their partners and big grins, they both looked like they were having the time of their lives.

James noted a key difference: while the Clooneys went for those classic, staged, lovey-dovey poses, Pitt and de Ramon kept things more real. Their affection was evident, but they skipped the over-the-top PDA. Instead, their gentle glances spoke volumes about their genuine connection, without trying too hard for the cameras.

Even with his ongoing legal battles with AJ, Pitt seemed at ease, and his wide grin showed he was truly enjoying the moment. This red carpet appearance was a chance for Pitt to show a side of him that had been missing for years. The ex-couple made appearances at this year’s festival—Pitt for Wolfs and Jolie for her film Maria. Although they avoided each other!

Wolfs will hit theaters for a bit on September 20, then land on Apple TV+ on September 27.
