Bruce Willis’ Lawyer Reveals He Kept Working Despite Aphasia Disorder Because He Wanted People To Have Jobs During The Pandemic

A lot of people on social media claimed that Midnight in the Switchgrass director Randall Emmett forced Bruce Willis to work despite his health issues. Bruce Willis’ attorney Martin Singer decided to shut down all these rumors by revealing the real reason why the actor continued working.

He explained why the actor continued working

Bruce Willis’ attorney Martin Singer addressed all these rumors. He told the Los Angeles Times,

“My client continued working after his medical diagnosis because he wanted to work and was able to do so, just like many others diagnosed with aphasia who are capable of continuing to work.” He added,“Because Mr. Willis appeared in those films, they could get financed. That resulted in literally thousands of people having jobs, many during the COVID-19 Pandemic”

He played an FBI agent in Midnight in the Switchgrass racing to rescue his partner (Megan Fox) from a serial killer, whose path they cross while investigating a sex-trafficking ring in Florida.

Bruce Willis announced his retirement earlier this year

After Midnight in the Switchgrass, the actor worked on five more movies with director Randall Emmett before his family announced earlier this year in March that he is “stepping away” from his decades-spanning acting career following his diagnosis with aphasia, a language disorder which “impacts his cognitive abilities.” They said,

“This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support,” adding, “We are moving through this as a strong family unit, and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him. As Bruce always says, ‘Live it up’ and together we plan to do just that.”

Fans all over the world are showing support

The actor received a lot of support after he was diagnosed with aphasia. A source close to Bruce Willis told People that “everyone is rooting for him”. They said,

“Bruce is beloved and everyone in Hollywood is very supportive of him and will rally around him. He’s one of the guys everyone loves in Hollywood — one of the most beloved movie stars. His family is rallying around him.”
