Bruce Willis’ frontotemporal dementia diagnosis devastated his fans and family. The American action icon has been a beloved figure worldwide. The nature and severity of the illness were a huge blow to everyone who loves the Die Hard star. In this moment of grief, family and fans rallied around the actor to give him much-needed support and love. Amidst all this, some ugly rumors and accusations started making the rounds. These include Bruce Willis’ ex-wife Demi Moore living with him, which was debunked by his wife Emma Heming. Now a fresh accusation of being a famous hunter was leveled at Heming. However, Emma Heming dismissed this with class, leaving no doubts in the minds of fans.
Bruce Willis’ Wife Emma Heming Slammed Paparazzi On Social Media
In February, the family of Hollywood veteran actor Bruce Willis confirmed that his health condition has progressed and the Die Hard star is now diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. Soon after the news broke on the internet, millions of his fans and co-stars showered him with positive messages on Twitter. Amid all the chaos and the actor’s ill health, his wife, Emma Heming, has been criticized for discussing her husband’s life-threatening diagnosis on her Instagram account while she is just spreading awareness, but social media users feel otherwise.
Heming, who has been married to Bruce Willis since 2009, made a gentle plea for paparazzi this month to stop following the actor after he was spotted on a coffee run in LA along with his friends. She took to her Instagram and shared her recorded clip, in which she expressed her frustration with media outlets that have published paparazzi photos of Willis. In a video, she could be heard saying,
“It’s clear that there’s still a lot of education that needs to be put forth—so this one is going out to the photographers and the video people that are trying to get those exclusives of my husband out and about. Just keep your space. I know this is your job, but maybe just keep your space. For the video people, please don’t be yelling at my husband and asking him how he’s doing or whatever—the woohoo-ing and the yippee ki yays… Just don’t do it. OK?”
This is not the first time that Heming has slammed the media. Since the news of Willis’s health updates, his wife has been struggling with social media bullying and has been very active on Instagram for the last 2 months as she continued to spread awareness regarding dementia.
Bruce Willis’ Wife Trashes Accusations of Fame Hunting
In the recent updates, Emma Heming took to her social media and slammed the trolls for calling her out, saying she is living her best life by getting five minutes of fame because of her husband Bruce Willis’ ill health.
The Red 2 movie actress took to her Instagram handle and shared a clip of herself in which she talks about how some media outlets are calling her grief five minutes of fame. She shared,
“I just saw something about me getting my five minutes, which is great, which means that you’re listening. So, I’m going to take my five minutes and I’m gonna turn it into 10 because I’m always going to advocate for my husband.”
The actress further says,
“And while I’m at it, I’m going to raise awareness around FTD and for caregivers, who are our unsung heroes out there. I am going to turn my grief, and my anger, and my sadness and do something good around something that feels less than.”
Emma Heming has been very open and vocal about raising awareness about dementia, but she has had enough of people calling her out with no context, and she made it crystal clear that trolls can’t stop her from sharing her thoughts on social media. Recently, the Pulp Fiction movie actor was out for the first time since the news of his FTD broke this year. He was seen enjoying his coffee along with his friends, and at one point, paparazzi gathered around him and started taking his pictures. The actor looked confused in the images, after which his wife, Emma Heming, asked them to maintain their distance around him.
