Colombian pop star Shakira broke YouTube records with her new diss song about Barcelona legend Gerard Pique. Several lyrics in the song titled BZRP Music Sessions #53 mock her former lover and his now-girlfriend Clara Chia Marti. Over 63 million people viewed the video in 24 hours, making it the most-watched Latin song of that time. Despite Shakira’s diss song being dedicated to him and Clara Chia, former Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has not made any direct comments about it.

Nevertheless, he responded subtly by announcing a new partnership with Casio watches to hit back at his former partner Shakira. Shakira’s diss song towards Gerard Pique has been taken in good humor after he revealed Casio would sponsor his 7-a-side league. He has been extremely busy with the new King’s League soccer 7-a-side tournament. He is the league’s president, and the tournament is organized by famous Spanish and Latin American streamers and aims to entertain the masses.

Gerard Pique Hits Back At Former Partner Shakira’s Diss Song

A former Barcelona footballer, Gerard Pique, appeared in a King’s League stream on Friday, responding to Shakira’s diss song regarding his 7-a-side league, which he is president of. The BZRP Music Sessions #53 singer compares Clara Chia Marti to a Casio watch in the diss song made with Bizarrap, and she compares herself to a Rolex.

Her new song’s lyrics says,

“I’m worth two 22’s. You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo. You traded a Rolex for a Casio.”

However, Pique appeared to benefit from both Casio watches since he has his girlfriend, whom Shakira compared with a Casio watch, and now the sponsorship with Casio too.

He said during streaming by showing his watch and the Casio watch box,

“Casio has sent us wristwatches. We reached a sponsorship agreement with Casio, and the King’s League struck a deal with Casio.”

The streamers couldn’t stop laughing at Pique’s mocking comment about his ex-partner’s diss song as Sergio Aguero chanted ‘Casio’ behind him.

Pique added, “This watch will last a lifetime.” The obvious dig at Shakira by Pique bewildered fellow streamer Ibai Llanos, and he said, “You must be joking.” Pique’s former team-mate Sergio Aguero then joined in on the fun by stating, “It was because of Shakira’s song; I think that’s why Casio is sponsoring us. Pique got annihilated by that song.”

While the BZRP Music Sessions #53 singer’s song poked fun at the 35-year-old who also played for Manchester United at the start of his career, it seemed to reward him instead.

A Diss Song By Shakira May Lead To Gerard Pique Suing Her

After 11 years together, Shakira and former Barcelona and Spain defender Gerad Pique announced their split in June, and they share two sons – Milan and Sasha. The ex-couple finalized the child custody battle late last year. It was expected that the Colombian pop star and her family would relocate to Miami within the first few days of this month following the custody agreement. However, her OAP father, William Mebarak, his poor health has apparently forced her to put her plans on hold.

It would appear that the 45-year-old singer has yet to sit quietly in Spain, as in her latest song, BZRP Music Sessions #53, she has taken a swipe at her ex-partner and his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti. It is possible that Pique intends to take legal action against his former partner, but he may not. His legal representatives advised him not to sue his ex-partner since the case would be very difficult to win. Despite the lyrics referring to Pique, his mother, Montserrat Bernabeu, and his current girlfriend, Clara Chia, they do not explicitly mention any of them.
