Being a child and teen actor is no easy job. While people think it’s all glitz and glamor all the time, the truth is far from it. Many actors including Miley Cyrus, Lovato, and even Symoné have shared the travails of handling fame at such a young age. Lovato appeared on Good Morning America to share her experience where she said,

I think there were several common themes, but one that really fascinated me while going on this journey was finding out that so many of us had — we used the same coping skill of dissociation, which I think was a … response to the trauma of fame being so young.

After starting to open up about her mental health issues and other troubles, Lovato also shared that she was assaulted by a person on set for a movie. Her struggles with drug abuse are also spoken about often for which she went to rehab and strived to remain sober.

In the midst of such troublesome situations, haters are only choosing to see how Lovato is not bubbly or upbeat enough to greet her co-stars. They don’t understand the inner demons that wreaked havoc on her mind at the time.
