Diddy vs 50 Cent Feud: Allegations Involving Daphne Joy Has Made the Rivalry Between the Two Rappers Even More Intense
While actors are known to be quite rigid with their enemies, singers, and musicians take their rivalries even more seriously. From Taylor Swift and Katy Perry to Diddy and 50 Cent, they know how to get the most publicity out of their feud while instigating more fights and arguments at the same time. The rivalry between 50 Cent and Diddy has been heating up given the recent s*x trafficking allegations against the former which even led to Homeland Security raiding his two homes in Miami and Los Angeles.
Daphne Joy Named in one of the Cases Against Diddy
Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones has brought on a lawsuit against Diddy where he claims the rapper has been involved in s*x trafficking activities with actress Daphne Joy being one of the sex workers he worked with. 50 Cent and Joy started dating in 2011 and even have a son named Sire together. The couple broke up a year later. When Jones claimed that Joy was named in one of the lawsuits, the actress took to Instagram to refute the claims and set the record straight.
“I am deeply hurt by the lies in Rodney Jones’ lawsuit. The claim that I am a sex worker is 100% false and character assassination. I am retaining an attorney to explore all legal remedies against both Rodney and his attorney.”
With the news of 50 Cent reportedly releasing a docu-series covering this lawsuit against Diddy, it seems like the former is joyfully reveling in the latter’s misery. He didn’t even leave the chance to malign his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his child at the same time. After Joy’s involvement came to light, he captioned an Instagram post, “I didn’t know you was a sex worker, 👀you little sex worker. LOL Yo this (stuff) is a movie.”
Subsequently, Joy did not keep quiet over the same and expressed her hurt over such comments. Moreover, Joy went on to attack 50 Cent as a father claiming that he is never there for their son and she is done trying to uphold a good image. On the other hand, even rapper Diddy has refuted all claims in the lawsuit with his attorney expressing that they have solid evidence to prove Diddy’s innocence. Given 50 Cent’s series announcement and constant chiming in with comments on the situation, Diddy has chosen not to respond to him at the moment, leading fans to think their rivalry will certainly go up a notch when the dust settles.
Reason Behind 50 Cent and Diddy’s Decades-Long Rivalry
It all started back in 2006 with 50 Cent taking the first shot at Diddy in his song The Bomb. He claimed that Diddy knew who killed the Notorious B.I.G. The latter rapper has denied these claims and does not know the killer. The feud further escalated when both rappers repped different vodka brands and tried to top each other with every move. 50 Cent has said on various occasions that his vodka is better than Diddy’s which is all grapes.
If that wasn’t enough, 50 Cent rebuked Joy for going to Diddy’s concert in 2022. He stated that Joy’s allegiance was to Diddy and not to him. To this, the actress again fought back and told him to focus on her role as a mother to their child. In 2023, many women came forward with claims that Diddy had physically assaulted and s*xually harassed them. The rapper has thus denied all claims.
