After almost a decade of waiting, fans finally got Tom Hiddleston’s Loki’s solo MCU project and it did not disappoint the fans at all. In the popular Disney+ series, Hiddleston’s Loki goes on a redemptive mission across time and space with Mobius (Owen Wilson) and Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) as they uncover the mystery of the TVA. Shortly after the finale, the second season was quickly confirmed and filming is expected to begin as soon as this month.

The show was nominated in multiple categories – Best Show, Team, and Breakthrough Performance and Sophia Di Martino attended the MTV Movie & TV to represent everyone. She accepted the Best Team award for Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, Owen Wilson’s Mobius, and Sylvie. The actress offered her sincere thanks for the award and also revealed some interesting information:

“Wow, another one, thank you. I don’t have any room in my suitcase for these, so I don’t know how I’m going to get them home. Thanks so much, thanks, wow. I know Tom [Hiddleston] and Owen [Wilson] really wanted to be here. But they’re busy getting ready for [season] two. So, I’ll accept this on behalf of those guys as well. Thank you so much to the audience for voting, it means everything. Thanks, thanks so much.”

What Happened To Loki?

The first season of the show wrapped up on a dramatic cliffhanger last summer as the Multiverse was unraveled and Loki was seen stuck in an alternate TVA. The anticipation for Season 2 is so high as the finale left fans with so many questions.

About six weeks ago, Tom Hiddleston told The Playlist that Season 2 filming would be getting underway in the United Kingdom in about six weeks so the production must’ve started. Loki Season 2 is expected to release at some point in 2023.

The plot synopsis for Loki Season 1 is as stated below:

Loki is apprehended by the Time Variance Authority (TVA), which is sort of like a time-traveling FBI with one specific purpose: to protect the “sacred timeline.” From the TVA, Loki learns that he’s a variant, which is a fancy word for someone who deviates from the timeline set out by a mysterious trio called the Time Variance Authority.
