So far, the only promotional material we have gotten from the makers of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is a first-look teaser and a key visual art, showing the gang.

As seen from the X post above by AnimeTV, the key visual art shows a peaceful and serene image of the party taking a break and relaxing while staring into the distance. The art truly reminds us of how beautiful certain frames in the anime can be.

The teaser on the other hand shows the equipment of our party; the elf mage’s suitcase, Fern’s staff, and Stark’s axe lying together. This announcement teaser is accompanied with Frieren’s narration, and for those of you who are wondering what she might be saying, here’s the translation.

To understand people’s hearts better, it’s time we continue the journey. The second season of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End has been confirmed.

The hopeful and emotional translation has added quite a lot to the beautiful frames of the teaser and has gotten fans excited for the next season.

Frieren’s season one showed us how Frieren, the titular character, had embarked on a journey across those lands after defeating the Demon King with her companions. After several years of traveling all over the land, he decides to bid farewell to her friend, Himmel.

The season saw her meeting all the different people whose lives were changed by her.

The season ended with Frieren getting banned from the Continental Magic Association by Lady Serie due to a conflict of ideologies. We also see that Fern became a first-class mage. Following this, Frierem, Fern, and Stark begin their journey toward a new adventure.

We know that she wishes to travel to Aureole, which is the land where the souls reside, so that she can visit Himmel and bid a proper farewell to him.

The second season of the anime will continue the journey to Aureole with her new companions. If the second season is also going to adapt 60 chapters of the manga, as the first one did, then it would have to adapt the story from Chapter 61 to Chapter 120.

These chapters will consist of the following arcs:

  • The Continued Northern Travels Arc
  • The Divine Revolte Arc
  • The Golden Land Arc
  • The Goddess’s Monument Arc

But no matter where the anime stops or how many chapters from the manga adapts, one thing that everyone can say for sure is that the second season will be an absolute hit just like its predecessor, and fans will love every moment of it.

In our opinion, the Goddess’s Monument Arc would be a great point to end Season 2, since that is the arc where Frieren meets her original party after she is sent into the past. This would remind us of her true goal behind starting the adventure.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is available to stream on Crunchyroll.
