Paramount+ has finally released its first trailer and key art for its upcoming season 3 of Star Trek: Discovery at the New York Comic-Con. If this wasn’t exciting enough, the streaming service has also announced its release date.

Talking at the panel at Jarvis Center, series actress Sonequa Martin-Green unveiled a new trailer alongside the season’s official key art, which features the actor as Captain Michael Burnham of the USS Discovery. She then went on to reveal the show’s release date, which is 18th November.

The official description for Star Trek season 3 says:

“Season four of STAR TREK: DISCOVERY finds Captain Burnham and the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery facing a threat unlike any they’ve ever encountered. With Federation and non-Federation worlds alike feeling the impact, they must confront the unknown and work together to ensure a hopeful future for all.”

The panel for Star Trek: Discovery was moderated by journalist Karama Horne featuring stars like Sonequa Martin-Green, Mary Wiseman, Anthony Rapp, David Ajala, Blu del Barrio, Wilson Cruz and executive producer and showrunner Michelle Paradise.

The show happens almost a decade before the events of the original Star Trek, which takes place from 1966 to 1969, bearing various connections to the series. The main character, Captain Michael Burnham was revealed in Discovery to be the adoptive sister of Spock which raised debates among the fans over the series’ inconsistency with the original Star Trek series. However, Burnham and Martin-Green have been well-received by the fans. Watch the trailer here:
