BET Awards are known to largely facilitate people from the African-American community for their exceptional contributions to industries including sports, film, television, and entertainment as a whole.
The YoungStars Award is presented to an up-and-coming artist who has the potential to make bigger waves in the industry. The award was established in 2010 and many famous personalities including Willow Smith and Keke Palmer. Carter won her first BET Award back in 2020. She was awarded the BET HER Award which is presented for a unique song that centers around women and other connected pertinent issues.
