Godspeed Has Made A Debut On Grant Gustin’s ‘The Flash’, Creator Responds
The episode of The Flash last week introduced and to the popular DC Rebirth character, Godspeed. Voiced by Gotham and Jurassic Park actor, BD Wong, Godspeed is now the latest speedster to have appeared on The Flash series, headed by Grant Gustin. Godspeed was co-created by Joshua Williamson alongside artist Carmine Di Giandomenico. Williamson took to social media shortly after the episode got over to share his thoughts on the character’s debut in the series. The artist seemed pretty satisfied with the portrayal of Godspeed in The Flash.

Insane seeing GODSPEED on @CW_TheFlash! When I first saw pictures of the tv costume I couldn't believe how much they stuck to @DIGIANDOMENIC73's design! He looks awesome in action! #TheFlash

If we talk about the comic book source material, Godspeed is the main villain who was an old friend of Barry Allen’s named August Heart sometime before the lightning struck him with the speed force powers. Heart went on to become Godspeed and started draining out the powers of other speedsters. He ultimately became a serial killer who wanted revenge on those who killed his brother.
The Flash will resume next week as Grant Gustin will return to reprise his role as The Flash. The upcoming episode is titled as “Gone Rogue”.
