“He would never disobey Tom”: Tom Cruise’s Son Showed Extreme Loyalty to Father by Not Inviting Mother Nicole Kidman to His Marriage

It might be because of this imminent charm that his kids also show him undying loyalty. His kids love him; even to the extent that they went ahead with the ‘mission impossible’ – shunning their mother from coming to their very wedding.
How it all started?
Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman first met on the sets of Days of Thunder, sparking a love story that would culminate in their marriage in December 1990. In a private ceremony attended by friends and family members in Colorado, they tied the knot.
The 90s power couple collaborated on three films in the course of their marriage – Far and Away in 1992, Seven Pounds and Red Dawn in 1995, and Eyes Wide Shut in 1999. Their marriage would come to an end just 2 years after their last collaboration.
Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise have grown distant
The Top Gun: Maverick star and Aquaman actress were married for close to a decade, adopting 2 kids over the course of the marriage – daughter, Isabella in 1992 and son, Connor in 1995. Ever since the two went their separate ways in 1999, Kidman’s involvement in the kids’ life has been on the decline.
The 55-year-old has largely stayed aloof from her kids’ life. And it is in part down to Cruise’s directions. The American Made star has ensured that his kids remain away from their adopted mother. The reason? Because she doesn’t adhere to the principles of Scientology.
Why did the kids choose Tom Cruise over Nicole Kidman?
Rumors were in the air that the distance between Kidman and Cruise had other reasons apart from their divergent career paths. According to former Scientologist Leah Remini, the Invasion star was classified as a “suppressive person” who is someone who “seeks to suppress other people in their vicinity.”
Contrast this to Cruise, who is a devout Scientologist. It is because of these differences that Cruise and the kids, Connor and Isabella have maintained their distance from the Just Go With It star, not even inviting her to their marriages. According to sources,
“Tom is behind this and what he wants is as good as law. Tom made the call and Connor followed. Connor worships the ground his father walks on and would never disobey Tom”
Looks like Scientology is not the only thing Connor is devoted to.
