“He’s willing to do anything to keep the money rolling”: Prince Harry Desperate to Save Marriage With Meghan Markle After Recent Exploits Left Couple Scrounging for Money
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s mega exit from the royal family doesn’t seem to be going the way they intended. Despite sharing their love story and everything about their lives on deals worth millions, the couple seems to fail to fit into the standards of their new lifestyle. And the Duke of Sussex is reportedly getting desperate to make it work outside of Buckingham Palace.
Insider information revealed that things had not been too well financially for the couple, and it has become a source of stress for them. And the Duchess is allegedly disappointed in her husband, as things appear to fall apart.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Struggling With Their Finances
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to step down from their royal duties in January 2020. The couple not only left the royal family, but they also lost an estimated $5.5 million, which they would also have received as their royal income. However, they had the whole thing planned out as they started signing deals worth millions for developing shows, podcasts, and books.
The couple reportedly signed a $100 million deal with Netflix. The Duke is also rumored to have received $20 million for his book, Spare, and they reportedly have a $30 million deal with Spotify. Despite all these deals, insiders have revealed that the couple is still suffering from some financial issues and claimed they are willing to do anything to make things right for him and his family.
“Harry said he wants privacy, but he is willing to do anything to stay in the spotlight to get more money rolling in,” the insider said. It is also revealed that this financial crisis could even be problematic for their marriage, as sources claimed that it could also “depend” on it.
Meghan Markle is Disappointed With Prince Harry
The financial issues have allegedly taken a rise due to their lavish lifestyle in California. Their expenses reportedly include a $10 million mortgage for their $14 million Montecito mansion and over $2 million for their and their children’s security. According to royal author Tom Bower, the Duchess of Sussex was surprised and disappointed after finding out that Prince Harry only had “very little savings.”
He accused her of marrying the Duke for wealth, saying that she wanted “to ride in big Cadillacs, private jets on command.” Prince Harry still has a four-book deal with Penguin Random House worth $35 million. However, insiders believe that he may be unable to keep the hype up for three more books. And not just Markle, but sources claim that Prince Harry is also not used to this kind of lifestyle. The insider shared that he grew up as a royal, and he did not have to think about money then.
