Harry Collett shares an image in House of the Dragon costume
Yesterday, actor Harry Collett who brings Jacerys’ character to life in House of the Dragon, took to Instagram to share an image of him in costume with a sword in his hand. He looks like a proper warrior ready for action in the image.
The actor did not caption the image, but the comment section seemed to blow up after actor Abigail Thorn left an exciting comment. With a winking emoji, she said in the comment,
See you at the Gullet.
Thorn’s comment hints at the upcoming Battle of the Gullet where the allies and armies of Greens and Blacks come face to face to fight out a bloody battle and begin the era of massacres.
The actress plays Sharako Lohar in the HBO prequel. We are introduced to her character in the season 2 episode titled The Queen Who Never Was. Lohar is an immensely powerful and strong character, serving as the leader and commander of the Triarchy. Lohar’s support and allegiance are important in the narrative as the Triarchy is pivotal territory for deciding who wins the battle.
In the House of the Dragon season 2 finale, we see Lohar and the Triarchy pledge allegiance to the Greens after Tyland Lannister proves himself in a muddy fight. The infantry of the Triarchy is seen sailing with Lannister at the end of the episode, thus teasing a more crucial role for Thorn in House of the Dragon season 3.
What happens at the Battle of the Gullet?
According to the book Fire and Blood which forms the basis for the show, Battle of the Gullet is where the Triarchy intercepts a Velaryon fleet. The ship has Rhaenyra’s youngest sons Viserys and Aegon aboard. On the other hand, as we saw in the show, Rhaenyra has already sent her toddler kids with Rhaena to the Vale, so this storyline may be altered in the show.
In essence, this is the first battle where Jace gets to fight without his mother’s disapproval. On the many occasions he has requested to enter the battlefield, Rhaenyra has stopped him from doing so. However, his rage gets the better of him and he fights the Triarchy fleet on his dragon Vermax. In the book, Ulf the White on Silverwing, Nettles on Sheepstealer, Addam Velaryon on Seasmoke, and Hugh Hammer on Vermithor join the young prince and support him against the massive fleet.
After the Battle of Rook’s Rest, this is the one we might see in the opening episodes of House of the Dragon season 3. Everyone is extremely excited for the battle scenes and Thorn’s comment has further fueled this anticipation.
House of the Dragon is streaming on Max.
