He started his career on television and has since gone on to be one of the most talented Hollywood actors of this generation.

Will James McAvoy do a DC movie?
James McAvoy is a beloved figure in the Marvel-Fox universe as Charles Xavier. His portrayal of the telepathic mutant was extraordinary as the viewers were able to connect to the character well. On the other side of the spectrum, McAvoy has also played some twisted and negative characters in the past, for which he received splendid reviews.
In a bombshell confession, McAvoy recently revealed on the Happy Sad Confused podcast that he had been offered the role of a DC villain in the past. However, he explained why he turned it down,
I’ve been asked to be a villain in something else and I didn’t want to do it cuz I didn’t think it was good enough. I’m not averse to doing anything as long as it’s interesting and I think it can be entertaining or disturbing or upsetting or depraved no again or funny and romantic look as long as it’s complex and interesting and does something cool with the audience, I’m up for it as long as I get to do something interesting to deliver that to the audience. I’m up for it doesn’t matter whether it’s a rom-com or a war movie or a superhero movie.
It’s fantastic news for fans that McAvoy is up for playing a bad guy in a DC movie, but the studio (read James Gunn) would have to come up with something out of this world for McAvoy to sign up for. Furthermore, he finds many stories with similar origin stories and he does not want to be boxed into an archetype of a character. For him to play a villain, the character needs to have a strong foundation in terms of back story and his motivations.
