Interestingly, an old joke has resurfaced where Jennifer Lopez is seen playfully responding that she wouldn’t save either of Ben Affleck and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs if they were drowning! The infamous joke occurred during an interview with Big Boy TV (via E! News).
It all started when Kurt Alexander asked Lopez a tricky question: if she saw Affleck and Combs floating in the ocean, but she could only save one, who would she choose? To this, the Ain’t Your Mama singer laughed hysterically and quipped:
I’d let both of those motherf***ers drown.
She quickly added:
I’m just joking, Ben, Puffy! You know I love you!
This shows she was just teasing and didn’t really mean it. Diddy and Lopez began dating in 1999 and were together for two years before breaking up in 2001. In a 2003 interview with Vibe (via People), the pop-singer revealed that they split because of his infidelity.
Jenny and the Caped Crusader actor called off their first engagement mainly because of intense media pressure. Lopez also said she wasn’t ready for the responsibility of being Affleck’s wife at that time in her life.

Another source said that Lopez is upset by how the media is portraying her in the breakup and blames Affleck’s “grumpy” personality for some of the problems. The source added that “Ben is a great guy but he can be grumpy and a downer.”
Despite the rumors, Lopez was seen this week celebrating the graduation of Affleck’s son Samuel and having lunch with Affleck’s elder daughter, Violet. The two Hollywood stars bought a big house together, but they recently put it up for sale.
An insider told People that Affleck never liked the house because it was too far from his kids from a previous marriage. While Lopez has stayed in the house, Affleck has been living in a rental property. The couple is reportedly seeing each other every few days.
