Deadpool 2 introduced us to a new villain called Cable, who wanted to get back to his family. He could travel through time to find a world where he could save his family from being killed. However, there was another villain in the movie named Russell, who went on to form a team of killer mutants to protect himself and destroy a facility that inflicted harm on young mutants.

As the actor has been on tour to promote his upcoming film Dune: Part Two, he has been asked incessantly to address his appearance in the Deadpool flick.

Initially, in an interview with Collider, Brolin was asked about his role in Deadpool and Wolverine after websites released set images from the movie. The images showed a few characters from Deadpool’s universe that should have been a surprise for the audience. Addressing his appearance in the movie, he said,

“No. I don’t know. Because Ryan [Reynolds] doesn’t like me? I don’t know… Maybe.”

Understandably, Brolin is keeping mum about his involvement in the project since Marvel likes to keep surprises under wraps. Moreover, the studio signs contracts with actors to stop them from giving out spoilers to the fans. He was asked the same question when he appeared on Good Morning America recently. The hosts spoke about his upcoming projects, to which Brolin jokingly said that he was in every movie releasing in the coming year. Specifically talking about Deadpool and Wolverine, he stated,

“Sure. I don’t know. I’ll check with my bookkeeper. I can’t say anything. Yes. No. Maybe … I think it’s gonna be a good movie though.”

As the threequel will feature Deadpool traveling through the multiverse, fans have been curious whether Brolin will return as Cable in Deadpool and Wolverine. It will make sense if they meet Cable, too, since the character enabled Deadpool to go back in time and correct some mistakes, possibly the event that flagged him at the Time Variance Authority.
