“I’m allergic to limes”: Marvel Star Dakota Johnson Cleared the Air Around the Hilarious ‘Lime’ Controversy in the Arch Digest Ad
Dakota Johnson rose to fame with the erotic drama franchise Fifty Shades Of Grey. She started off her acting career as a child artist with her mother in the 1999 release Crazy In Alabama. The American actor comes from a family of talented actors Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith.
She has been associated with the billion-dollar superhero franchise Marvel, with Madame Web which is slated to release on release in 2024. Not many people know about the weird allergy of Dakota Johnson. Recently, the Persuasion actor cleared the air around the rumored obsession with limes.
Actor Dakota Johnson Opens Up On Her Allergy With Limes
During a virtual appearance on the famous talk show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Dakota Johnson spoke about her strange allergy to limes. She recalled the Architectural Digest issue which featured her along with a bowl of limes as if the actor is a big fan of the fruit. She mentioned-
“I don’t really care about limes. I love them and I also found out after I did Arch Digest. I did that and, you know, they have somebody who is super talented come in and make your house look amazing. So they put this big bowl of limes, which I saw while we were filming. And it was funny. So I talked about it because who has a bowl of only limes?”
Dakota Johnson further added-
“And then I did an allergy test a few weeks later and it turns out that I’m allergic to limes. But I never knew because usually when I have them they’re in, like, a tequila. Don’t send me any edamame this Christmas season,”
In the later half of the show, the actor and Jimmy Fallon even played a game that was about giving a five-second summary of popular movies without talking about any catchphrase or dialogue, or actors from the movie.
Dakota Johnson On Working With Her Fifty Shades Co-star Jamie Dornan
During an interview with the reputed media outlet Vanity Fair, Dakota Johnson spoke about her Fifty Shades of Grey co-star Jamie Dornan and the creative difference she had on the set of the erotic drama while filming the movie. She said-
“I don’t think anyone would’ve done it. She also shut down media rumors that she and her co-star Jamie Dornan had any bad blood or secret feud. There was never a time when we didn’t get along. I know it’s weird, but he’s like a brother to me. I love him so, so, so much. And we were really there for each other. We had to really trust each other and protect each other.”
According to the actor, the movie was quite different from E.L. James’ book. She pointed out-
“I’m a sexual person, and when I’m interested in something, I want to know so much about it,” she started. “That’s why I did those big naked movies. I signed up to do a very different version of the film we ended up making.”
According to the rumors, the Fifty Shades of Grey actor duo were reportedly dating each other during the filming of the movie. However, they never confirmed or spoke about it in public or on social media.
The Fifty Shades trilogy is currently available on Netflix.
