While collaborating on The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, Cage and Pascal grew close, which sparked rumors of possible Star Wars-related projects. Cage revealed in the interview that he identifies as a Trekkie. “I’m not really down. I’m a Trekkie, man. I’m on the Star Trek Enterprise. That’s where I roll,” Cage said. He remembered witnessing William Shatner’s legendary portrayal of Captain Kirk in The Original Series and praised Chris Pine‘s work in the most recent Star Trek films.
