Cage revealed in the interview that he identifies as a Trekkie. “I’m not really down. I’m a Trekkie, man. I’m on the Star Trek Enterprise. That’s where I roll,” Cage said. He remembered witnessing William Shatner’s legendary portrayal of Captain Kirk in The Original Series and praised Chris Pine‘s work in the most recent Star Trek films. Cage knows the value of science fiction in tackling social and political issues.
