Iron Man pays tribute to his legendary friend, Kobe Byrant
The legendary basketball player, Kobe Byrant along with eight others faced a tragic and an unexpected helicopter crash in California, on Sunday. The crash left no survivors. Also travelling with him was his 13 year old daughter, Gienna.

The world grieved over the loss of a wonderful player, a supporting father and an amazing friend. The Twitter was flooded with thousands of tweets, each individual paying their respects to the legend. Even Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr., grieved over the loss of his dear friend and shared a picture of him with Kobe Byrant on Twitter, and mourned over his loss, mentioning how tragic it all was.
Tribute by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences
Apart from his legendary action in the basketball court, Bryant even won an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film for his work writing Dear Basketball. The film was about a letter he had previously written for the sports journalism site, The Player’s Tribune.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences issued their own tribute to Bryant on Sunday.
Byrant was honored at the Grammys with tributes and jerseys
After Byrant’s death was confirmed, many personalities from the entertainment industry spoke out in tribute. In addition to Downey, Disney chief Bob Iger issued a statement on behalf of himself and The Walt Disney Company and Star Wars legend Mark Hamill also paid tribute. Ben Affleck also reflected on Bryant’s passing.
