Is Lady Sif all set for a return to MCU in Thor: Love and Thunder or Disney+ Loki?
Given Marvel Studios’ wheelhouse of secrecy, it didn’t take long for Marvel fans to grow a hype around the speculation Lady Sif’s probable return to MCU after actress Jaimie Alexander, who played her role in previous movies, hinted at it during her Instagram Live.
The Instagram Live
Actress Jaimie Alexander, who has portrayed Lady Sif in Thor movies, teased a potential return to the MCU. When asked if she could really ride a horse while wielding a sword as she did in the Thor films, she responded with a mirthful yes, and added that “I might have to do that again in the future.” For a later question, she said that she would “cease to exist” if she revealed what she’s working on next- something that the Marvel Fans have taken as a positive clue for her comeback.
Why are fans yearning for Sif’s return?
The fearsome Asgardian warrior is portrayed as Thor’s lover (and wife) in the comic books dealing with the Norse Mythology. Given the general complaint of fans about the lack of chemistry between Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Natalie Portman’s Jane in the movies, many have been fancying the idea of a new romantic dynamic with Sif’s return. While they were distressed with her disappearance in Thor: Ragnarok, they take relief in the fact that she didn’t die with the Warriors Three when Hela took them out in a matter of seconds.
Which movie, though?
While the rumors about her return are raging like wildfire, no one’s sure about which project she would be involved in. Her comment about possibly needing to ride a horse with a sword again might suggest that she could be preparing for the action sequences of Thor: Love and Thunder. However, the fact that she cannot talk specifically about what she’s working on at the moment could reference Disney+ series Loki, which is currently in production, where she can have her very own TV spin-off.
Fans seem eager about the possibility of a tiny little reunion with Alexander’s ( after the death of all of Thor’s friends in Ragnarok) and Natalie Portman’s return to the MCU.
