Among them, one of the films that contributed a lot to his career is the Mission: Impossible saga however this saga is now linked with the actor getting death threats.

The action star known for performing his risky stunts in the movies has reportedly been receiving death threats from his former co-worker. Other than the actor, Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning director, Christopher McQuarrie is also on the radar.

According to the latest reports by The Sun, action star, Tom Cruise along with director Christopher McQuarrie had been receiving death threats on Mission: Impossible 8 movie from a disgruntled former employee.
The reports stated that they are taking “no chances” from dealing with the situation and had reportedly brought in heavy-duty bodyguards and security just to avoid any future mishap.
A source told the outlet, “Tom and Chris are still working on Mission: Impossible 8, mostly in the UK, but things have got increasingly unpleasant with a former crew member and now it’s a case of taking no chances.”

“It’s a bit of art imitating life, on set, it’s all about heavy protection and threats and now the same thing is going on behind the cameras,” the source further added.
The source also shared that the Top Gun star is used to security however the director is having a new experience in this segment.
“Tom is used to having security teams around him most of the time because of his fame. But for Chris, it’s a very new thing. Nobody is taking any chances.”
The dispute started when a stunt producer showed angry protests since his dismissal and reportedly launched a legal lawsuit against them along with Paramount Studios.
A Former Employee Claimed Controversial Links Between Russian Oligarchs and Paramount Pictures
The 60-year-old actor along with the director and Paramount studios are involved in legal trouble filed by the former employee who has made claims that Russian oligarchs had financed the former’s films.
As per the reports, the FBI is also investigating the distribution company however the American security service has yet to confirm any investigation regarding the same.
The source has commented, “It’s all turned very nasty” adding that “those involved in the films are confident everything is totally fine.” He further added that that the ex-staff member was just angry about his dismissal.
That former employee was hired “to scout locations for stunts including a major train crash scene”, though his plans were not executed in the film.
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is slated to release in the U.S. on July 14, 2023.
