Season 1 of Tower of God ended with quite the cliffhanger, as fans were left with quite a lot of questions given the ending of the first season. Fans were getting impatient, anticipating the second season of the show to air, but after 5 long years, Crunchyroll has finally announced the release date of the second season of its original show.

Crunchyroll has announced that the 2nd season will be released on July 7th, and it has put the fans into quite a craze. The 5-year long wait garnered some hilarious comments from fans on social media. Here is what they had to say about the major update.

Tower of God Season 1, as mentioned earlier, had fans in quite a sour mood with the cliffhanger that they were left in. Rachel, who is considered to be one of Bam’s closest companions in the series, ends up betraying and eliminating him. However, this wouldn’t be the end. In order to honor Bam’s death, his teammates agree to carry out his promise to Rachel.

Despite Rachel being exceptional at hiding her pleasure on hearing the news. Khun, being the observant character that he is, manages to realize that Rachel had something to do with Bam’s death. However, this isn’t the end for Bam, as he’s saved by a guide named Hwaryan, who urges him to continue climbing the tower.

Crunchyroll would finally release a teaser visual for the upcoming season of Tower of God on their Twitter and judging by their comments, the fans are certainly thrilled, to say the least.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Given how much of a hit the first season was for fans, judging by how the trajectory of the story is heading, season 2 will most likely be just as clean. But as we inch closer to the release date, what can we expect from the upcoming season of Tower of God?

A Time Skip: Fast forward several years! Season 2 picks up where the cliffhanger left off, but with a twist. Season 2 will likely take place six years after Bam’s fall,  which will give us a chance to see how the other characters have grown and changed in his absence.

A deeper dive into Hwaryun’s character: Hwaryun, the silent guide who saved Bam, still remains shrouded in mystery. We still aren’t sure as to what exactly her motives and goals are. Season 2 will probably delve deeper into her backstory and her connection to Bam’s future within the Tower.

More information on Rachel’s betrayal: Rachel’s motivations and true nature still remain a mystery. The upcoming season will most likely offer some insights into her past, her deal with Headon, and her ultimate goals within the Tower. Given how she betrayed Bam at the end of season 1, we could see the two cross paths soon enough.
