I had been essentially not castable in that type of role before and it changed everything. I am really grateful for that. James found me — an outcast at the moment and made me his Star-Lord.”
The actor revealed that James Gunn played a key role in his career’s recent times. The Passengers star felt that he wasn’t given opportunities for lead roles and when he got them, Pratt believed he didn’t perform well and often blew those chances. After meeting Gunn, Pratt’s career took a significant turn towards a $100 million success and rising stardom through the Guardians of the Galaxy Franchise. Thus, the actor is truly thankful to the director for casting him as a swashbuckling and adventurous personality.
Chris Pratt’s Potential Role in James Gunn’s DC Universe
Chris Pratt who’s playing the role of Star-Lord in the Marvel Cinematic Universe under the guidance of James Gunn is claimed to join the DC universe in a role that seems well-suited for him, but might be too identical with his MCU character. In both the comic and MCU Star-Lord becomes the leader of the intergelatic heroes and his role in the DCU might be similar to this. As Pratt’s character arc concluded in Guardins of the Galaxy 3, this could be an appropriate time for the actor to explore roles in DCU.
The Tomorrow War star already has a working relationship with James Gunn that can be an advantage for Pratt to join DCU. Chris Pratt is being claimed to play a character named Booster Gold who hasn’t appeared in the DC films yet. The character is a time-traveling member in Jusice League with a cocky yet well-intentioned personality that alligns with Pratt’s character. However, no confirmation has emerged regarding Booster Gold and which actor will take on the role. Thus, things remain uncertain until confirmed by the makers.
