The release of Jason Momoa’s upcoming film Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom is around the corner. This is the actor’s second solo film in DC and the sequel to the 2018 film Aquaman. The film is directed by James Wan who also made the first part. 

Jason plays Arthur Curry aka Aquaman, a half-human, half-Atlantean, and a member of Justice League. The Dune actor also gets credited for writing the story of his DC sequel. During an interview with Extra TV, he shared his experience in preparing for the role and the action sequences and the actor said that most of the time he used to get trained by stuntman for the fighting aspects of the film. 

The Once Upon A Time In Venice actor revealed how he practiced extreme stretchings just to increase the flexibility to get comfortable to act in the padded suit the star wears as Aquaman. He also credited Thor star, Chris Hemsworth, for helping him prepare for the Aquaman sequel.

In the interview, when Jason was asked about “beef” with Chris Hemsworth, he replied, “Well, there is no beef. I actually called Chris to help me get ready for ‘Aquaman’…”  Adding to that, he mentioned that it is delightful that Hemsworth owns a fitness platform called “Centr.” (Source: Extra TV)

Lately, on Tiktok, Jason shared a video of him wearing his padded Aquaman suit and calling out Chris he joked, “What’s up, Hemsworth?” and added “You had to work out. I didn’t.” Responding to Momoa’s video, the Extraction star wearing a white tank t-shirt while doing bicep curls said “That’s a lovely padded costume you got there, Jason. I prefer a skin suit myself, mate.”

In the interview, the Braven star appreciated Chirs’s hard work towards fitness and said that for him Hemsworth is “the poster man for in shape.” He added, that the Thor actor “looks wonderful” and “extremely big,” and calling him out a winner, the Gather actor also said that he can never get in that shape and mentioned, “That was supposed to be a joke.” He also admitted that he is not big and Chris and he has to wear a suit to be that big.

During an interview with ET, Jason Momoa addressed that Aquaman and The Lost Kindom might be his last film in the DC Universe as the Studio’s heads, James Gunn and Peter Safran want to “start their own new thing up.”

Since the joining of Gunn and Safaran at DC, the superhero universe has been in a state of change. The producer added that he doesn’t necessarily want it to be the end” and mentioned, “I don’t think it’s really, like, a choice.” Relating to his character and the franchise, Jason said that honestly “if the audience loves it, then there’s a possibility.”

Momoa said that he wants to play Arthur Curry for a long time as he “loves the character” and he wants to see where he wants it to go. Talking about his character, he added that it is fun just to be the reluctant king and then, you know, getting past all of his ego, and realizing what he’s meant to do.” 

Since the joining of Gunn and Safaran at DC, the superhero universe has been in a state of change. Aquaman/ Arthur Curry first appeared in a cameo of Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016, followed by being part of Justice League in 2017 until his first solo film in 2018.
