“Man of Steel had the same score”: Awful Review For Henry Cavill’s Argylle Doesn’t Bother His Loyal Fans
Henry Cavill is about to have a smashing year with two highly anticipated releases coming in 2024. The Superman actor has been featured in some of the most successful franchises, both movies and series. Having played Sherlock, Superman, and Geralt of Rivia, Cavill has delighted the audience and critics alike with his incredible range and versatility. Cavill’s ability to embrace humor as well as action is understated. His upcoming movie, Argylle, will be released on February 2, 2024.
First Reviews for Henry Cavill’s Argylle
Henry Cavill stars in the ensemble movie by Matthew Vaughn. Based on the book of the same name, Argylle has created a buzz in the industry as people believe it was written by pop singer Taylor Swift. Swifties believe she is the mastermind behind the book as there seem to be several similarities between the protagonist of the book and herself. The aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes has debuted the film with a mere 39% score on the Tomatometer, the score now tanking to 37%. The reviews left by critics or the first audience of the movie blast the unending plot twists and the confusing plot of the story that ultimately reveals a hollow centre. A harsh review read,
“It’s remarkable really, “Argylle” has bone-deep structural issues on a fundamental level, but it is also a failure of directorial execution from top to bottom, resulting in what has to be one of the most expensive worst movies ever made.”
Who listen to Rotten Tomatoes they are terrible at reviewing movies

However, fans on social media don’t seem to believe a word by the aggregator website. Rotten Tomatoes has been known to give terrible scores to good movies in the past, Man of Steel for instance, so the viewers know better than to judge a bunch of reviews by snobby critics. Sometimes, all they want is a large tub of popcorn and a few hours to watch their favourite actor on screen.
Since man of steel had the same score I will watch

The same seems to be true for Henry Cavill stans who will not take a word of rubbish against the beloved actor. Moreover, Argylle has already sparked franchise rumours where Vaughn expressed he wants to cast Louis Patridge as the younger Cavill’s character in upcoming prequels.
I think we should collectively abolish rotten tomatoes.

I don't care much for RT scores so I'm still looking forward to watching it, it looks fun!

Many users have even called for a ban on Rotten Tomatoes for tanking a movie for no apparent reason. The movie has a great star cast with Dua Lipa and John Cena. Fans of Vaughn’s action sequences and self-deprecating humour will love the spy comedy. Especially the people who loved The Kingsman movies will appreciate Argylle since the director is the same and his vision for movies always hits the bullseye.
Henry Cavill’s Next Project
The first look of his project with Guy Ritchie was released earlier this week as fans drooled over his bearded hunk look in the images. The movie is titled The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and will follow a rag-tag group of experts who take on a rogue mission to defeat the Nazis during the Second World War.
The movie promises action, smart humour, and a worldview of the war that shook the world. It is said to be based on true incidents that inspired the origin of undercover black ops in the world of spies and missions. Ritchie’s movies seldom disappoint fans and he seems to be on a hit streak with releasing five movies in the past five years.
