While it is widely believed that no power or force in the cosmos can rival or surpass the Infinity Gauntlet, some do and they include various characters throughout the Marvel Universe. One reason why there may be beings in the Marvel universe who can upstage the Infinity Stones is that they have existed longer than all of them combined. That being said, these are the 5 Marvel characters who are more powerful than the Infinity Stones –
Thanos
It’s important to remember that Thanos defeated multiple Elders of the Universe whilst wielding the Infinity Gauntlet. The In-Betweener, Champion, Gardener, Collector, Runner, and Grandmaster were all beaten by him. It’s worth noting that Thanos is more powerful than any Infinity Stone. Thus, he can easily overcome those who either possess them or try using their abilities against him.
The Avengers
The Avengers have a long history of protecting the world from threats with massive destructive capabilities. They’ve taken on Neititi and Proxima Midnight when they had the gauntlet and ended up fighting Corvus Glaive, Ebony Maw, and Cull Obsidian when those villains had the gauntlet. The Avengers have traditionally been at a disadvantage when confronted with powered-up enemies after they’ve assembled all six infinity stones in one location. But no matter how dire the situation may seem; they always manage to find a way to turn things around.

The Many-Angled Ones are treacherous entities from another dimension. They can manipulate various forms of energies to work for them. The Many-Angled Ones also appear to be able to control the minds of beings and even show a form of immortality. They have destroyed countless worlds before and have only recently been stopped by Doctor Strange, Galactus. and the Living Tribunal. The Many-Angled Ones would likely be able to destroy even someone armed with the Infinity Gauntlet upon entering into this universe.
The One Above All
The One-Above-All is the closest thing to the common God in the Marvel universe. A powerful being that frequently takes on classic depictions of an Abrahamic God. However, sometimes, it also resembles Jack Kirby. This celestial was among those that Thanos encountered when he first obtained the Infinity Gauntlet, and many know how that came out.
The Beyonders
The Beyonders are a vague and mysterious presence in the Marvel Universe. It is known that they have incredible powers and it cannot be encompassed by the powerful characters from Earth. Outside of the regular Multiverse, they operate in a rare place in Marvel continuity where nothing else dwells and appears to have immeasurable strength as noticed during The Secret Wars with the Beyonder originally being able to contain and kidnap Galactus himself. More recently, fans witnessed their powers increasing even further when they destroyed the Living Tribunal, heralding great uncontrollable power on both their behalf and the players who wield them.
