Marvel Comics Just Deteriorated Peter Parker’s Condition in Amazing Spider-Man
In Marvel Comic’s Amazing Spider-Man #75, Peter Parker had teamed up with Ben Reilly to take on the U-Foes. However, the battle didn’t end well for Spidey as during the attack from Ann Darnell aka the Vapor created a noxious gas which was inhaled by Peter Parker. His fate was unclear after he inhaled it.
Now Amazing Spider-Man #76 has finally revealed what happened afterward and now the things have gone from bad to worse.
Between these issues, Ben brought Peter to the hospital. They were then joined by Mary Jane who got into the room while Peter was having a seizure. Peter then goes on to reveal his entire narration but at the same time, his body senses the radioactive danger inside him, which goes on to cause some dangerously huge problems for his vitals. Still, Peter does manage to stabilize enough to talk to them.
Over the entire course of the issue of Amazing Spider-Man #76, it seemed like Peter Parker would recover sooner to later. Even the doctors went on to say that Peter Parker‘s incredible constitution amazed at what he had been able to endure without dying. It is now clear that he’s nowhere near healthy.
In the due course, Ben comes to talk to Peter. Walking back on his bravado from the issue of Amazing Spider-Man #65, Ben went on to ask for Peter Parker’s permission to become the next Spider-Man. Peter ends up cutting some slack and says that Ben does deserve to be the Spider-Man. After getting blessings from Peter Parker, Ben just leaves.
The moment Ben leaves is exactly when things being to take a bad turn. Peter reveals to Mary Jane that he can no longer feel his body. He has a seizure and his body is now shutting down on him.
Amazing Spider-Man #76 then ends up with Peter slipping into a coma. At the moment, future solicitations for the comic do indicate that Peter should recover. Even if Peter does recover, we don’t know what shape he will be in and how long Ben will be the Spider-Man. Either way, Ben has some big shoes to fill.
