Marvel Fans Blame Thanos For The Cancellation Of Luke Cage & Iron Fist
While Marvel fans were still getting over with the cancellation of Iron Fist, Netflix and Marvel announced the cancellation of Luke Cage. Now, many fans are hilariously blaming Thanos for both.
Last week, Netflix and Marvel announced the cancellation of Iron Fist Season 3, although the second season got well received by fans.
“Marvel’s Iron Fist will not return for a third season on Netflix,” said Disney and Netflix’s statement. “Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is proud of the series and grateful for all of the hard work from our incredible cast, crew, and showrunners … We’re thankful to the fans who have watched these two seasons, and for the partnership, we’ve shared on this series. While the series on Netflix has ended, the Immortal Iron Fist will live on.”
While fans were still reviving from the sudden cancellation, Netflix announced that Marvel’s Luke Cage has also been canceled.
“Unfortunately, Marvel’s Luke Cage will not return for a third season,” said a joint statement issued by Marvel and Netflix. “Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is grateful to the dedicated showrunner, writers, cast and crew who brought Harlem’s Hero to life for the past two seasons, and to all the fans who have supported the series.”
The cancellation of the series interestingly came around the premiere of Daredevil Season 3 on Netflix. It’s yet to be seen how Netflix deals with other Marvel shows like Jessica Jones, Punisher and Daredevil.
Here are some crazy fan reactions blaming the Mad Titan for the cancellation:

I don’t think @Netflix realizes #InfinityWar is a work of fiction, because they seem to be pulling a Thanos now that they’ve axed @LukeCage and @MarvelIronFist. Disappointing to say the least. pic.twitter.com/dSjd08RD1v

#LukeCage and #IronFist have been cancelled. Why are people surprised? Thanos snapped his fingers and half the marvel characters died. These shows will be revived next year after #Avengers4 . Great marketing tactic @netflix #Marvel
