Marvel’s Avengers is all set to finally add Spider-Man DLC for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 this coming November 30th, and now a huge question that remains is how the characters’ stories will be told in the game. Characters like Hawkeye and Black Panther also had major additions in terms of content which is added to explain their deal, but Spider-Man will be confirmingly different. It will be a Hero Event, instead of a full Operation, and well, there is a lot of difference between the two.

What’s the difference between an Operation and a Hero Event?

As per developer Crystal Dynamics, the difference between an Operation and a Hero Event is something that’s large of a scale. Instead of a full story campaign, the Hero Event will be revealed via dialogues, cut scenes, and a series of documents. Many objectives unlock these documents when they’re done and in turn, it pieces the narrative of the event together. Due to the nature of the Operation scale vs Hero Event, Spider-Man will be soon unlocked for play than players recruiting them by themselves.

“Peter Parker uncovers AIM’s new plan to acquire technology that could make their Synthoid army unstoppable and total domination inevitable,” a previous tease of the new Spider-Man content in Marvel’s Avengers reads. “He must partner with the Avengers to stop this looming threat, and forms a tentative friendship with Ms. Marvel and Black Widow while keeping his identity hidden. As a Hero accustomed to working solo, he struggles with the new dynamics of working with a team. Will he join up full-time with the Avengers, or stay independent in his fight against AIM?”

As given above, Spider-Man is all set to the Avengers by Marvel on 30th November on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Coming from developer Crystal Dynamics and publisher Square Enix the game is widely available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PC, Xbox Series XIS, and Google Stadia. The recently released Black Panther expansion officially titled Marvel’s Avengers Expansion: Black Panther – War for Wakanda, came back in August.
