Marvel’s Illuminati Reunite To Investigate Galactus’s Death
Marvel is all set to launch the Marvel Zombies: Resurrection, a retelling of the fan-favourite horror series. The company teased a grim future for the world-eater Galactus. It looks like Galactus is already on his deathbed. The Comic will be out at the end of this month. Marvel has unveiled the first preview pages of the series.
Marvel’s Illuminati Group
The tales of Marvel’s Illuminati group is filled with Earth-shattering events. Charles Xavier, Iron Man, Mister Fantastic, Black Bolt, Namor, Black Panther and Doctor Strange were the first heroes to form the Illuminati. The writer Jonathan Hickman reformed the team for his run on Avengers and New Avengers. He added Captain America and Beast in place of the deceased Professor X, while also bringing back Black Panther. Now, a new miniseries reunites the Illuminati to investigate the presence of a cosmic villain in space.
Marvel Zombies: Resurrection #1
The pages start with a corpse floating among the cosmos, with energy surging from the body. Then it all cuts to the Baxter Building at 4 Yancy Street which serves as the new headquarters for the Fantastic Four. In a meeting of the Illuminati, it’s revealed that the corpse is of Galactus. The heroes begin discussing what this means, running through scenarios of Galactus heading towards Earth. The heroes get ready to board a spaceship and head out to space to do some recon of their own.
The preview ends with many of the heroes saying goodbye to loved ones as they board in a spaceship. What happened to Galactus can be blamed on the zombie virus that is the root of the Marvel Zombies miniseries. Instead of finding a rotting corpse, the heroes will be greeted by an interstellar terror.
For all those waiting, Marvel Zombies: Resurrection #1 hits comic stores October 30th.
